Summer went well

Summer is over and the mountain tops got their first snow. Looking back, both Gloria and Giorgia made some good progress.

Giorgia underwent surgery in July after she ruptured her ACL and partly ruptured the medial collateral end of May playing football. Surgery went well and she started physiotherapy and rehab-training right away. Her doctor checked up on her a few days ago and he was very happy with her knee. Still a long way to go, but we are very optimistic, and Giorgia is determined and motivated to get back to skiing somewhere by the end of coming winter season.

Gloria started her 2019/20 season in June with ski tests in Hintertux and physical testing in Rovereto with the Irish ski team. In July, thanks to SAI, she took part at the FIS camp in Chile, which was a great experience and helped her to improve her skiing as well as her physical fitness. Back home in August and more strength training at the local fitness studio. At the beginning of September, next physical testing with her Irish teammates in Rovereto followed by some snowy ski days at Italy's Stelvio glacier.

First races are scheduled for beginning of November! But for now it's back to school for both girls.
